New plugin MCP, provides access of AI assistants
- [MCP Plugin] A new plugin (mendelson AS2 professional, mendelson AS2 enterprise) has been added: MCP. The MCP plugin provides the Model Context Protocol for AI access to the mendelson AS2. MCP is an open standard that is supported by Claude Desktop, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor and other AI assistants. It allows you to connect an AI assistant such as Claude directly to the mendelson AS2 to ask questions in natural language (e.g. "Is the AS2 server running fine?" or "Were there any errors today when sending to partner XY?").
- [MCP Plugin]: Questions about the mendelson AS2 can now be asked in any language and without prior knowledge: the AI assistant searches the user manual on its own and answers in the language of the question (e.g. "How do I create a new partner?" or "What does insufficient message security mean?")
- [MCP Plugin] The following functions are provided: Status of the server (version, license, pending transactions, errors since the last start, free disk space), latest transactions of a partner or local station with direction, time and state, full access to the user manual of the mendelson AS2. All functions currently work read only and do not provide production data. As only metadata is transferred to the AI assistant no payload data, file names, AS2 IDs, URLs, certificates or directory paths leave the server
- [MCP Plugin] The access to the /mcp endpoint of the mendelson AS2 is secured by an access token
- [Metrics Plugin] The access to the /metrics endpoint can now be secured by HTTP Basic Authentication.
